Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort

WHERE: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Dells has long been known as the Waterpark Capital of the World, so it should come as no surprise that some of the world’s most innovative indoor waterparks are located here. Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort’s indoor waterpark made history in 2022 with Medusa’s Slidewheel Waterslide, the country’s first rotating slide. Part Ferris wheel, part thrilling raft slide, this massive spinning slide is unlike any water ride you’ve ever experienced. Hop on the four-person raft and prepare to enter the turbine for 96 seconds of completely disorienting thrills. Not for the light-hearted, you’ll be subjected to intense g-forces that alternate with weightlessness as you hover back and forth through the dizzying cylinder maze. Medusa is the main attraction here, though the rest of the indoor waterpark offers some delightful thrills with a lazy river, tube slide, and fast body slide. The park is only open from mid-September through mid-May, but Medusa is open year-round.
