Steven Brooks

Steven started working freelance as a travel writer in 2013 after leaving university. He saved up and moved to Southeast Asia, and has been living there since. Over the years, Steven has honed his writing skills via contract work for companies in education, tech, music and, of course, travel. He still works with publications like Hackernoon and Lifestyle Collective, and does work for brands like expat.com and Your Vietnam Travel. Steven currently resides in Vietnam with his wife and daughter and has lived up and down the country. From Hanoi and Hai Phong to Dalat and Ho Chi Minh City, Steven has embraced the life and culture of this beautiful country. He teaches English in his free time and is currently building Bantershack, an energetic, leftfield learning resource collection specifically tailored to Vietnamese professionals. When he's not writing about travel, you can find him hanging out on LinkedIn or running up the local mountains.
