Ruksana Hussain
Ruksana Hussain is an award-winning journalist and editor, food and travel writer, and author of "Around the World in Los Angeles" whose bylines have appeared in Natural Habitat Adventures, Detour UK, Restless Network UK, Luxury Travel Magazine (Australia), and USA Today Special Editions, among other print and digital outlets. Born in India, raised in Oman, and now calling the United States home, her work is focused on raising awareness of global cultures by experiencing diverse communities, their histories and heritage, through travel. She has been quoted in the Boston Globe, MSN.com, The Points Guy, Shermans Travel, and Fodor’s Travel as well as guested on more than 50 podcasts and served as a judge/panelist at several industry/association events. She is the recipient of multiple diversity and journalistic awards for her features and editorial work spanning two decades, including the Los Angeles Press Club’s Southern California Journalism Awards, Society of American Travel Writer’s Western Chapter Awards, and the North American Travel Journalists Association Annual Awards.
