Meredith Maran
Meredith Maran is the author of a dozen books and hundreds of features, profiles, and book reviews for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The LA Times, and O the Oprah Magazine. A keynote speaker at venues including William & Mary College, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Stanford University, Meredith has been Writer in Residence at UCLA and at artists’ colonies including MacDowell and Yaddo. A member of the National Book Critics Circle and a passionate proponent of independent presses, bookstores, and thought, Meredith is a native New Yorker and a former resident of Taos, NM, London, England, Kansas City, MO, Austin, Texas, and Oakland, CA who now lives in an historic bungalow in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.
