Lydia Mansel
Lydia Mansel is a Virginia-based travel journalist with over a decade of professional writing experience. Her work regularly appears in Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Southern Living, and Men’s Journal, among other publications. While her assignments have taken her all over the world, she specializes in mountain towns across the American South and West — with a particular focus on Jackson Hole, Wyoming — luxury hotels, and the United Kingdom.
After graduating with a degree in American Studies from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, she moved to New York City to begin her career as a writer and editor. Since then, she’s worked for various publications and brands, and she’s called Charleston, South Carolina, London, and, most recently, Charlottesville home. She also writes a packing list newsletter, Just Packed, which can be found on Substack.
