Katie Lewis is a Nashville-based creative writer, editor, and journalist. After studying English and creative writing at Saint Louis University, she covered police chases, protests, elections, and the city's 1,000-year flood for Nashville's NBC affiliate, WSMV-TV. Her content writing has been published by Headspace, Close, Emma, Deck Commerce, enVista, Groups360, and more. Her journalism work is found at Axios, The Tennessean, BookPage, Tennessee Register, Nashville Scene, and Advertising Week, among others. Katie's creative writing has appeared in Kiln, Regime Magazine, Tethered by Letters, and on the side of a Nashville transit bus. Her first book, a short story collection called Cheers, Somebody, was published in 2017 by Vine Leaves Press. She is currently a copy editor at Axios, and is also a mom, special needs resources advocate, dog lover, environmentalist, and big-time reader.
