Annie Brown Verdin is a bilingual journalist based in Austin, Texas, covering food, drink, and travel. Her work examines how culture and history shape what—and how—people eat, with bylines in Food & Wine, Adventure.com, Texas Highways, and other publications. Born and raised in the American South, Verdin later spent four years living in Central America, an experience that continues to shape her approach to storytelling.
