The snowman is a dimensional cut out from AC Moore craft store. I add a snow texture to the chimney and some sparkles. One snowman for each grandchild. The trio on the right is a set designed by Chris Haughey of Cupboard Distributing. I really don't like doing fine detail. I'm a decorative artist, not a fine artist, so I used Chris' design and instructions to paint. And for some reason I can't trace very well so I can see middle oval for the manger isn't a nice oval shape.

reply try #2. This is his original shop. In the backgroun is the attached new garage. New yellow paint is slightly brighter than the old which was very faded from supposed authentic Jeepster yellow.

This is actually the cellar shop. In the background is the attached new shop which had to be built so he could have a lift. It was warm enough yesterday to drive #2 to the next town to get some bolts from the hardware store. The new yellow will be slightly brighter than what you see in the photo.

It was fun hearing DS describe some of the work/lessons this weekend. Since this old Geo Tracker has original seats, DS suggested our Christmas present when asked could be a new specialty seat. It already has safety harnesses. I hope her enthusiasm lasts for the many hours this is going to take.

The normal size yellow bell shape are the Zolotisty which has Russian heritage. The pointy yellow I think are Golden Treasure. Red pointy are my favorite Carmen which ripens early but too thin walled for roasting for the freezer. The largest red with some green are Gigante. I think there might be an Aleppo that has turned red. I might have some red ripe shishito or pardron. In January I get too crazy with seed starting.

what I loved about this place was all the plantings and sculputres have been done by the owners. There is a pollinator garden, vegetable garden and several lovely shrub beds. You can wander around following paths. The wonderful outcroppings of stone have been utilized to make special planting spots although one are was a small koi pool in front of the house. As you can see from the photo, the landscape design is beautiful. It was nice to visit even though not much was in bloom on September

This photo is from fall 2015 showing my high tunnel. Our favorite shade tree is the one to the right (branches overhead). People can park campers along the stone wall on the right side of the photo. Where the bouncy house goes and sandbox are on the left side but not in the photo. We have room off to the right to set up the club's tent for rain/sun shelter. We are fortunate to have room enough for everyone to camp out if they want. Some of the families come from Maine or southern NH.

Narrow trim on sides/back will be ivory. Camel upholstery was ordered last night. Getting closer! Photo also shows original entrance to basement garage and stairs to main two car garage. Good thing we had a natural slope to make this possible.

Today's progress: one coat of dark red. The taped off area, narrow panel, on the sides and back is an ivory color. Camel colored upholstery was ordered last night. We both picked the same color. Jeepster #2 is on hold until this one is finished.

The 4-H working steer club (oxen) are my favorites. Teams looked very nice. The kids do a great job. It's a lot of work just to get them ready for fairs. Lots of baths and clipping.

Yep, Liz, a pile of parts. The engine is in place but the body is only temporarily bolted on. The steering wheel is somewhere in the pile. Plus two years of barn dust. DH was most excited by a brand new wiring harness made by a little company in PA plus DIRECTIONS. I think all the wiring has to be replaced due to age but it's one of those puzzles DH enjoys. Having a pre-made wiring harness makes it a lot easier.

Utilizing laws of gravity and friction, DH made use of ramp and snubber strap to make unloading a one man operation. Keep in mind, no steering at this point. First time I heard about snubber straps. Now he says this one is probably the one he'll end up keeping. I think he has been unduly influenced by some trim pieces seller had re-chromed. I think DH is keep a small company in PA in business.

This is the cook tent the guys set up for their Fall weekend in a secret spot. No electricity so they also set up generators for this forest of slow cookers. We don't attend anymore because we can't stay up for the big camp fire and it seemed rude to just show up for dinner.

this was take from inside the "room" border by a tall hedge. I do not know what kind of weeping conifer covers the arbor. There was one on each side of the entrance. Lovely brick path plus a seat at the end. Nice peonies and other plants but this was about the only formal section of the property.

I loved this elegant stone walkway and metal arbor. This photo gives an idea of the slope. I thought they did a good job growing oriental poppies among other perennials so their dead foliage would be hidden when they go dormant after blooming.

plants I bought: 3 verbascum (should have white flowers with purple stamens and might be a biennial), Mirabilis jalapa 'Limelight' is a type of Four O'clock with bright pink flowers. The little vine in the top right corner is Asarina 'Shooting Stars Blue' also called climbing snap dragon vine.
