Drive back home via non toll road took 40 minutes along pebbled beaches and azure coastline . We saw latest swanky high end luxury and sports cars in the Riviera everywhere, which was different from other parts of France. The whole area has a glamorous aura.

The Promenade des Anglais has been a Nice landmark, a popular place for a stroll with gorgeous views of the sea. The paved walkway stretches for 5 kilometers and is known by locals as "La Prom". It was paid for by wealthy British people who used to spend their winters here, away from the harsher seasonal weather in England. This fact is recognized in the promenade's name. Mount Fuji from our aircraft. This was an unexpected lottery for us. This is visible on the right side of the aircraft. The pilot does announce it but quite late. One has to be prepared about 1.15 hours prior to the arrival. We were lucky that the clouds were below and the peak was visible. The same view from the ground level is blurred at this time.
