This is Gunther who unfortunately washed up on the shore, somewhere in the region and he was allowed to decay and then his bones were re-assembled in the open gallery at the end of the wharf.

The Spit, it's an easy walk down to the Spit from the Observation Deck, with a 5.5 mile hike to the Lighthouse on the end of the Spit. We didn't do the hike because if the tide comes up you can't get back. No, not taking the hike had nothing to do with the 20 oz. Porterhouse I had last night at the 7 Cedars Casino!

The Dungeness Refuge is about 35 minutes from our place in Discovery Bay. Once you exit Hwy 101, you drive through farmland and then you are at the very well marked turnoff, unlike Anderson Lake!
