And by day. Magnificent. They just finished cleaning the exterior and now have scaffolding up in most of the interior getting it ready for the big next Holy Year celebration in 2021.

The hotel is now a stunning Parador. (Didn’t know what Pousadas and Paradores were until this trip either.) Easy to get lost on the floors it is so vast.

Our hotel, a former medieval hospital for the Pilgrims walking the Camino Way who arrived in Santiago sick, is located on the main square right next to the Cathedral. Ignorant me, I hadn’t realized Santiago was THE end of the pilgrimage.
