She had 10 eggs and they ALL made it. 8 are easy to see and the other two are partially hidden, they keep moving about . Welcome to your new surroundings. The water is about 100 to 120 feet away. The mother duck really likes me, she said " Good job you did the other day Percy helping my friend with her 12 ducklings ". It was really something to watch first 1 head peeking , out and then 2 and then 3 etc. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

When you get near the nest and there are only eggs in the nest, then the male flies from branch to branch very near you and gives you the constant " Get Lost" chant.

Standing on guard , just waiting for Percy to get in my striking range. As soon as the babies are full grown, the whole family takes off back south , I assume. I asked them to stop by St. Louis on their way further south!!

Coming into Zanzibar. See that white sand beach at the tip of the peninsula !!, that is where I was staying , great beach, temperatures were about 100F daily !!, nice people, good food. Nice tours . Great Time.

This is the African house, there is no entrance from the front which faces the Ocean. On the open deck above right over the African Sign ( no one is sitting there right now), is where Stanley and Livingstone always sat and drank beer with lunch. I sat at this table 5 times during mt week stay at Zanzibar.
