Let's see. At this exact moment Maggie Smith and Judy Dench must be about half way through Act I of their performance of the new David Hare play in London. God, I wish I were there!

Paris..absolutely. I'd love to right now take a turkish bath at the Hammans followed by a walk along the river into the Marais ending up with dinner at the Blue Homme..a berber feast!

In Sorrento Italy sipping on some Limoncello while eating Insalata Caprese, looking out over the bay and thanking God for this blessing.....

I wish I was back in Wailea, Maui, and it was the beginning of my trip to the Kea Lani Resort. We were going to eat dinner at Roy's Resturant. I'm spoiled forever!!!

Mid-July towards the end of an absolutely perfect day...on the dock sipping chilled Chardonnay, finishing a mystery novel, as the sun sinks behind the hills.... all the while enjoying the yelps of our kids water skiing & tubing...life is grand...

Fargo Chick Nov 8th, 2002 04:12 AM

It was 64 degrees in Fargo yesterday (11/7). I biked 23 miles in the afternoon -- and home was the perfect place. In a few weeks, though, I'd probably like to have sand between my toes........
Sipping on limoncello WHILE eating a caprese salad???? Uuuuuhhhhhhh, how disgusting!

nina Nov 8th, 2002 04:32 AM

Agree, the limoncello would be best after dinner, sipped while sitting on a terrace overlooking the sea in Ravello but to each his own!

Actually, Capri would be wonderful, or Venice, or St Barths or.....

It is going to be 60+ degrees here this weekend. Home looks good, except for all the chores.

How about in the old Coco Palms Resort in Kauai (alas it is closed), watching the flaming coconut ceremony!

I'm content where I am, the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. From the back of the house I see the sun rise over the Massanutten Mts. In the evening I watch it set beyond the Allghenies. During the day I have enjoyment of living in a small town with a real Main Street.

Janda Nov 8th, 2002 07:06 AM

Good heavens people, give me a break.
I meant eating the insalada caprese, THEN drinking thew Limoncello afterwards. You are sure a critical bunch !!!

kal Nov 8th, 2002 07:59 AM

Anywhere but NoCal right now.
First rain since 5-21 and it's trying to make it all up in one day!

Ok...How's 'bout Venice sipping a
$8, 12oz beer watching the large cruise ships cruise in, ton o' tourists get off, pose for pics with a ton o' pigeons on them and then leave?

Walking down small Paris streets at night in a light rain and turning a corner and seeing either the Eiffel Tower or the Arch of Triumph all lit up.

Sitting on the bench in front of the Cabrillo Lighthouse in San Diego while boats, ships and planes carry on below you.

And finally, watching a Kauaian sunrise every morning from our hotel room bed.
Yep...anywhere but here right now.
Kal
