OK - I admit it - I am a spoiled brat....my husband and I luv the southwest - last trip we stayed at a fantastic bed and breakfast - so romantic, clean, wonderful breakfasts every day - located at Lake Powell, Arizona/Utah. We made that our home base (I had to pack and unpack every day) and went one day to Grand Canyon, the next day stayed in the area and did Antelope Canyon Photography Tour and Navajo Tapestry Tour out on the lake. Next day to Bryce Canyon, following day local hiking to Horseshoe Bend, and Coyotte Butte, next day to Zion, following day to Monument Valley. All those locations were within a couple of hours from the bed and breakfast.
Sooooo - we rebooked again to do the same thing this year - lucky for us that we found out that Dreamkatchers Lake Powell is reopening again this April and we plan on spending a week there in May. Will post their contact information in case others want to do the same trip - they can do all your local reservations for you - its like you have your own personal valet - http://www.myspace.com/dreamkatchers - now don't you all go off and book May before we get our dates confirmed with my job..... The Southwest with its amazing scenery can not be found anywhere else in the world - happy travelling to you all. |
Ugh - typos in my last post - I should read what I type first - I said I (had to pack and repack) what I should have said was that I HATE TO PACK and REPACK on each leg of my vacation trip - that is why I picked Dreamkatchers Bed and Breakfast so that I WOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THAT - one place - unpack for your entire trip and off you go fresh the next morning - guarantee you won't want lunch after the huge breakfast that Eric served.
