You're welcome for the recipe! There are a bunch more (many are favorite dishes from restaurants) on www.9news.com Just look along the left hand side in the red area for a tab called Recipe's.

Junebug, I am in Colorado and have never seen Nutella at my grocery store. I would think someone has to have it here though. I think I will have to hunt for it now.

Really miss the "authentic" bagels that you get in NJ - they are crispy on the outside but just doughy enough on the inside. All others are just plain "doughy".

Also miss my TastyKakes! We now get Taylor Pork Roll here in SC, but there's nothing like getting it grilled on the boardwalk...

I dream about food alot, and it changes alot as well. currently it is Cioppino from Scoma's or Cafe Michealangelo (I think) in SF. and Carnitas Burrittos from Chipotle (various locations US) or Anna's Taqueria (Brookline, Ma)

When I was a teenager my mom took me on a tour of Europe. In Amsterdam we had Rijkstaffel (sp?) which I believe translates to rice table. They brought us dish after dish of delicious dutch indonesian food with, of course, rice. It was the kind of meal you had to plan ahead for so you'd be starving when you got there.

To Me Too:
On a recent visit home to the U.S., I bought a giant box of Cheez-Its back to Europe (plus some other snacks). My husband dove into the Cheez-Its like they were his last meal. Mmm.
(We eat plenty of gourmet food here, so you foodies be kind and give us a break).
We'll be visiting a friend who lives near Dortmund, Germany. Apparently there's a Wal-Mart there (a lot of Germans like shopping there) and I'm going to see what American snacks are available. Crossing my fingers to find some nice, sinful American junkfood!
