Thank you, Iamq, this is the one.

Now this one... ever lost a shoe on a plane?

I'm sure this one was pulled (but I'm sure it exists somewhere in Fodorville) and it was titled "Our mothers were right" It came out around Mother's Day before registration. It sortof went off topic (but most long posts do) and it really wasn't all that travel related, but it was fun.

I like the book recommendation lists. Found some wonderful items this way.

And, of course, everything I've written.

Palenque's Berlin Journal http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34660080

An enormous amount of interesting & useful info on Berlin & daytrips therefrom.

P.S. I suggest you separate them into two folders, the funny and the useful. I think the 'funny' ones are mostly a waste of space.

Thank you Scarlett and RBTraveller!

You honour me greatly with your words and know that you made my day... sending you good karma! I find there are so many fantastic posters, some of whom I only discover when I travel someplace new, as they're great advisors for that certain corner of the world.

Tanya is a wealth of info for anything Nova Scotia. Amy Missalg for Philadelphia. Gail for New Providence & Eleuthera, Bahamas. Tiogringo, Dude and Jean_Valjean for Monterrey & Mexico City. Carmanah, Klam_Chowder for Vancouver. And many, many other gems who give of themselves on these forums!

There was/is a classic Neal Sanders' post: "It's a Dry Heat." I show the date of his posting to be 5/30/2001 (I did a cut 'n paste back then.)

Ed, did you have to post that link? Heaven forbid I find a photo or two of myself on there. ;)

Here is the link to "Does anyone else travel with bed sheets":

And here is: "Are the Vikings Really Bad in Scandinavia in September" (my favorite funny post):

I wonder what happened here? Peter, have you finished your compilation? Was it posted anywhere? Or is there something in the Fodor's books?

TAW Aug 22nd, 2006 03:03 PM

Where's that great thread JAGIRL tops for us every now and then - the one with links to some hilarious threads?

JAGIRL Aug 22nd, 2006 03:46 PM

It's called "Idle a while" and it's on the US Forum.

SpeedBuggy Aug 22nd, 2006 04:13 PM

Thanks, JAGIRL. I'm going to find it and top it. Hope you don't mind. :)
