I have 3 teenagers and a few cousins that are 18 through 20. This year I am planning on helping to chaperone a group of about 20 seniors to Miami. They have no problem with about 4 grownups going with them. I think deeply, they find it comforting. We have no plans on overly watching them, just making sure we let them know we are there and checking on them. Is there any way you and a friend can go and maybe have your own room and give them their space? I have 2 teenage daughters that know I have done the Mardi Gras thing and have asked me to take them when they get older. I will be open to it since I know how things happen and I would rather be there than not. I also take vacations with them where I give them a little leeway and see how they act. Maybe you and a friend can go with them and maybe plan a couple of activities for all of them to be involved in (a spa day) so that way they know they have to show up for dinner, the spa, whatever you plan and you know they can't just up and run off with some random guy and if they do, there will be consequences.
