Lots of good ones listed. Mayfield's is excellent for mass produced. Ben & Jerry's is right up there at the top but my favorite is The Flamingo Crossing on Duval St. in Key West. Everything is made on premises and it is wonderful. Tropical nights and ice cream do make a wonderful end to any day!

Hello Everyone ....What about a nice double scoop of coffee ice cream,I must be from Rhode Island if this is what I like. Then, just go out to the beach and relax and listen to the waves crash over the sand, while enjoying every moment of your ice cream...(To heck with the Ice Cream)South County is the place to get this kind of peaceful atmoshere. The vanilla bean is in South Kingstown. Which is located in the Southern part of the State of RI.We have 14 public beaches,100 miles of sandy beaches, 18 public golf courses...fresh seafood, a wonderful place to play, relax and getaway from it all.Worth the trip South County Rhode Island

I love ice cream but would strongly advise against using IceCreamSource.com. They delivered alright--a soupy mess! A complete waste of money.

I too remember the wonderful sundaes at Baileys Boston.Dark drippy fudge, marshmallow(no whipped cream for me) and salted pecans on top. OOOOOOH! Brighams also good but not quite up to Baileys. Also re4member getting Hojo ice cream cone on the walk home from Tenean Beach.10 cents. Now that is really dating myself. Also, Ogar's drug store made their own coffee ice cream. Great.
Now shop at Roche Bro. supermarkets and they sell Moosetracks under their store brand name. To die for.
For home made now go to Peaceful Meadows in Whitman MA. Eat a cone while you walk in the barn and see the cows.
Great Thread! Do they serve ice cream in CA? Seems to be missing from this thread.

I love ice cream, but man, was I ever disappointed in that site, icecreamsource.com. Some shipments showed up in liquid form, some never made it at all. Save your money.
You obviously haven't tasted Joes ice cream in Swansea South Wales. It is absolutely delicious. And this comes from one who dosn't really like Ice creams. And it's oh so lovely when it's been zapped in the microwave for a couple of seconds.
