Philly is a great town and I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I just didn't know if you realized how dangerous the area around Temple was. And yes, very convenient to NYC and DC.

My son attended Drexel and received an orientation similar to this. I believe it has less to do with the neighborhood and more to do with the realization that kids are attending from all over the country and the world and come from a variety of backgrounds. Many are naive about personal safety. I think every student should have an orientation like this whether they are attending a rural or city school.

Philadelphia is a fantastic city to spend your student years in. There is so much to do and it’s very easy to get around the city. My daughter is attending school in West Philadelphia, another not so great neighborhood, and she’s loving it.

Another question. So both my friend and I want to take our cars there to Philly for both use and a good road trip. What states will be the best to drive through to get to Philly?

Does Temple allow 1st year students to have cars? Many colleges do not.
Where will you park your car during the semester?

That’s going to depend on how much time you have, how well you tolerate the heat and humidity, and what you want to see. If you google map it, you’ll probably get three routes as a result: a southern one, a middle of the country route, and a route that takes you more north. I’m driving across the country from Arizona to Philadelphia in mid August and have decided to go up through Utah and into Colorado because I want to see that part of the country, plus I’m hoping it’s cooler.

Time is not a factor as long as it is not more than a 7-9 days and temperature and climate does not differ for me. I am mainly looking for cool things to see and I am thinking either the middle/North route would have more of that. But what are some key states to stop through?

They can. https://campusoperations.temple.edu/...sked-questions

Then they need to think about where they are going to park, etc.

College is an exciting time--give the college experience a chance first before looking further afield!! LOL

Are Brothels safe/affordable in Munich/ parts of amsterdam? How does the process work?

suze Jun 4th, 2019 11:18 AM

It's a brothel. You pay to have sex with a woman (or man).

yeah i understand that part, Duh. I phrased my question wrong i mean to infer as to what per cautions to take or advice for these places as not to be in a tourist trap?

suze Jun 4th, 2019 11:23 AM

So you want to know how to find and be a customer at a non-tourist-trap brothel in various European cities? That's funny!

Why are you asking about Munich and Amsterdam on your United States topic thread?

Or, to reuse Gretchen's earlier advice...
;)

I think butterfingers is (just may be) trolling us again . . .

That same answer may apply to his most recent question....
And where is cold when we need him.

suze Jun 5th, 2019 11:46 AM

Would you go to a prostitute in your own home city? If not, why would you go to one in Europe? If yes, then you already know the answer to your question.

Gretchen Jun 5th, 2019 03:04 PM

Janis suggests I think butterfingers is (just may be) trolling us again . . .

Ya think. LOL Actually I thought it was a girlie until the brothel advice came up and then I realized it was just a tweenie..

You can see people's posting history you know. They said (March 2018) they are a 17 year old male living in southern California... for what it's worth.

With trips in the next 6 weeks to Europe (for the hookers ? ), Japan, the Pacific NW and a wedding in Hawaii.

Plus I don't think this was the first or only screen name either.
