Post-Graduation Trip
I am graduating from High School on the 6th of June and my friends and I want to take a short trip during the following weekend (7-10). Originally we were thinking about Seattle, but are open to new ideas. Our budget for tickets is $250, hotel price does not matter, and we have no specific preferences. All other expenses arent an issue. |
What happened to your trip to Europe . . . and Japan . . . at the same time?

How about somewhere in the southern states such as; Texas, LA, Tennessee, or Georgia, maybe a long weekend trip to New Orleans. You could also look at colleges when you travel.

Going to this trip June 7-10, Europe 12-26, and a wedding In Honolulu in July. Busy summer :) |

Going to Temple U in the City of Brotherly Love :). I will be attending with my friend and we will move in together. We will go next spring for their dual admissions program. Any discerning or optimistic facts about Philly or that University? |

Be aware of safety concerns. Someone I know who applied there for graduate school had a lecture during orientation for a couple of hours that was all about safety. Stay in groups, don't use the ATM there, etc.

Hey Butterfingers--it is probably true wherever you go!! The bottom line is to always wherever you are be aware of your surroundings. You've probably been brought up in school with drills for an active shooter--how depressing is that!!

Yea we want to live somewhere that actually has different seasons. Plus Philly is close to everything so we can visit a new place every weekend (if two broke college kids could afford it) LOL |

Temple University is not in the best section of Philadelphia, but the issues are not unique to Temple. Most big cities have the same safety issues. Many of my friends and a couple family members attended Temple with no issues. Just use common sense.

Philadelphia is a very good choice. So much to do....historical sites, fantastic restaurants, great night life.

I agree about Philly. Our son went to UPenn and enjoyed his time there, and we enjoyed visiting him. You can also get to NYC and DC easily.
