Give Arnie a break! I, too have followed and waited for every installment from Arnie but the man has just had his home and life threatened by the fire.
Arnie, you deserve a break don't worry about these impatient people. I hope you and your family and your home is safe.
Carry on with the story telling when you're rested!
|
Give me a break. First off his house was nearly 10 miles from the fire. My house is just as close to the fire but not in the wind direction. Secondly I have already gone on two vacations since this post started back in APRIL and he is still not done. I am sure he has a life and things to do but he should either finish the story or never have started it. How do we know he isn't just cut/pasting this from his computer somewhere and not even typing it? I just think he has lost a lot of people's interest in this story.
|
Get a life you whiney B*^@*! It just a story. Maybe he has had to deal with other personal things that take priority over story telling. Maybe he has had family or close friends affected by the fires. Maybe he is a kind sole who is helping those who have lost so much. Its just a story!!! Don't get so worked up about it. You need to find another hobby!

Lenleigh, don't be so mean.
|
It's not that I don't understand/sympathize with Arnie and I did say I am SURE he has a life. Arnie's area was on standby evacuation for about a week. My point is, before the fire issue he prolonged this story for two months. It seemed to me that he used the fire (with his comment about it taking 90 days to put out) as another reason to prolong it for who knows how long. I understand if he had to pack up his belongings and now has to unpack them. I also understand he may know people more affected by the fire. I think it is somewhat funny in a way that Arnie was getting bashed from several people prior to his "fire update" and now you are changing your mind?

Lenleigh,
Go read a good book. How dare you judge someone else's life. Who died and made you God??!!
|
let's end this thread
|
I too anxiously await the end of the tale, but when it comes that's one less thing to look forward to.

Arnie

The ghosts are going to come get you...or maybe they already have!
|
I have to say that I don't believe in ghost. But just in case, I won't ever stay at any of the places mentioned on this post.
Arnie has me hooked on his story. Can't wait to hear the rest of it.
|
lenleigh- i dont understand why you are getting so worked up about my Arnie's story. We have had to go through a lot and i dont appreciate your demeaning impatience. I apologize that my Arnie has prolonged his story, but there is no connection that we can get to share the story and even right now i am running on a thin line. lenleigh i think you need to think about your actions and burn in hell.
|
while we are waiting for the end of arnie's story, i was wondering if anyone has any idea if there is any "hauntedness" in houston texas.
|
Good lord, you people need to get lives. You've been reduced to disregarding Arnie's personal life and emergency situation for a stupid ghost story? And as much as I've enjoyed the story, I'm sure that Arnie's copying it straight out of some book. For those of you w/too much time on your hands, instead of bugging Arnie why don't you try and find the source of the story yourselves? Either that or end this thread!
|
I think that jewish sorities are outstanding but haunted hotels are even better. Thanks for posting this site up and i hope arnie shows up. C;mon girls, it's dredel time!

I know it's not US, but...

Great Fosters in the UK. A hunting lodge for Henry the 8th. He had Anne Bolin (sp?) beheaded there, according to legend. She wanders the halls at night with her head under her arm.

Sigh

We are all sorry for the problems Arnie and wife are experiencing right now. If we are impatient, it is because he pretended this was a real story and has dragged it out since April 9 - almost 3 months (not sure you could do the math considering your difficulty with reading).

If you had bothered to read the whole thread, you would see that many of us tried to verify/find this story. It doesn't exist - Arnie is making it up.

Now do you get it? Before you rag on us, get the facts.

Arnie I hope things straighten out for you soon, but I won't be back to find out. Just dragged on toooooooooo long.
|
WhySigh: I was not getting personal w/anyone, I am just stating my opinion.

However you seem to personify the type of person I'm talking about. The only reason you take offense to what I wrote by insulting my intelligence is because you are one of those who have no life by taking this a little too seriously. Thank you for illustrating my point.

Dear people,

This is my first day back at the office since my posting on 6/14/02. Unfortunately, I am only here long enough to unload important files and papers. You see, although my home was on the northeastern edge of the fire (which is 100% contained as of last night--Yea!) my office is on a ten acre ranch in a place called Perry Park--which was in the evacuation zone. As a result, not only did we end up moving our personal belongings from our home but also thousands of files and documents from our office down south.

Currently, we are in the process of moving everything back from storage. This is no easy project and we don't expect to have things restored to a state of normalcy for at least another week. We are also helping our Perry Park neighbors get their businesses and lives up and running again.

As I've stated before, it was never, ever my intention to drag this story out for so long. I realize many of you are angry or disappointed with me for "stringing you along" and for this I offer my sincerest apologies.

When I first posted the beginning of the story in April, there seemed to be no interest in it (it was a month before someone asked if I was going to continue it). I point this out because some have said that it has been going on since April and, while technically that is true, it didn't really get going until May 9th. Still, even two months is far too long for this to have gone on.

A few other points:

--That is NOT my wife Anee who posted on this thread. The real Anee is a far better writer than I and would never been so rude to anyone.
--Please don't be hard on LenLeigh and others who have expressed their disdain over the fact that this has gone on for so long. I, too, would be hard pressed to stay with something for this length of time.
--For the record, the Hayman fire came within 6.8 miles of our house (and three miles from our office. That may not sound bad to some of you, however, when you consider the fact that on some days it was moving 2-3 MPH, it could easily have been on our doorstep in a few hours.
--The story is not cut and pasted. I write it based on the facts as I remember them:) when I sit down at the computer.

Thank you to all who have followed along with the story--no matter for long or short a time. Without your input (both positive and negative) I would not have had the drive to continue writing it.

Best Always,

Arnie
