Yes, it's near the end of Beachwalk. There are fewer shops and a little less traffic in that area, but it's an easy walk to the rest of Waikiki. HHV has a LOT of rooms, but the grounds are huge so it never felt overcrowded to me. I believe the Ali'i Tower has its own guest-only pool, which would help. The beach is a nice size -- no gunning for a spot -- and the water is relatively calm. They have a cute little Hawaiian show in the evenings (I forget if it's daily?) and a big fireworks display once a week -- on Fridays, I think.
