You cannot sneeze with your eyes open, either.

The length of your foot is the same distance as that between the inside crease of your elbow and the bottom of your wrist.

Ruth Jun 9th, 2006 11:34 AM

"Moth" is the most commonly mistyped word in this thread. :-)

I drank coffee today. I never, and I mean never, drink regular coffee.

This post makes me laugh.

tekwriter Jun 9th, 2006 11:35 AM

I can sing "The Star Spangled Banner" in Latin.

Usually only when completed inebriated, though.

BuffaloGirl Jun 9th, 2006 11:36 AM

My brother's MIL used to babysit Dick Clark.

The Niagara River isn't a river. It's a strait.

(I've got to get away from this thread. This is my 3rd post)!

GoTravel Jun 9th, 2006 11:46 AM

The East River in NYC isn't a river.

The speed of light is a constant. But time and space can vary.

I could sing correctly the entire first 3 verses (long) of "Tatum Ergo Sacrumentum" from Benediction (Catholic) in Latin for an old friend on a bet- and I hadn't done that or thought of it at all in 45 years.

And I don't have a clue, except for 4 words, what the words mean because I learned it phoenetically.

And Nat King Cole sold over a million records in Europe in 3 different languages doing the same exact thing. He was great at German, and the people just loved his accent and tried to copy its inflections.

luv2fly Jun 9th, 2006 11:51 AM

Brad and Angelina had a baby girl.

JAGIRL Jun 9th, 2006 12:15 PM

And her name isn't Branjolina.

JAGIRL Jun 9th, 2006 12:19 PM

The grass actually isn't greener on the other side. The sky may be bluer, bt the grass is most definitely not greener.

I recite Abou Ben Adam by Leigh Hunt from beginning to end whenever I have had one too many glasses of wine!Don't ask me why I do this or where it comes from. It's in my head. And,lots of other poems too (now that's useless!!) Is it time for a glass of wine? I have to get away from this post! Great one, FainaAgain! Lots of Friday Fun!! :)

I memorized all the words to the Pramble to the Constition in third grade and still remember it at age 35 thanks to School House Rock.

LoveItaly Jun 9th, 2006 12:54 PM

I one evening had a 30 minute discussion with a male friend in Italy regarding catalatic convertors..the entire conversation was in Italian!

I can't even carry on a conversation about catalatic convertors in English for heavens sake..in fact I am not even sure how to spell it, obviously.

All that wine and then lots of limoncello certainly made me clever for 30 minutes! ;;)

seetheworld Jun 9th, 2006 12:55 PM

LOL, LoveItaly! :D

FainaAgain Jun 9th, 2006 12:58 PM

My co-worker will never know what she'd started!

Next Friday... useful information thread? Naw, won't be fun :)

JAGIRL Jun 9th, 2006 01:05 PM

Faina,
You mean useful travel related info like , "what NOT to name your baby if you decide to go into labour in Africa"? or say,
"How to clear kitchen counter clutter while vacationing in Delft" ?
Who knows...it might be interesting indeed...;)

cmcfong Jun 9th, 2006 01:15 PM

How many people measured their foot and the space between wrist and elbow crease after reading Intrepid's post? How many went on eating their dill pickle potato chips?

Nora_S Jun 9th, 2006 01:17 PM

Isn't that why one buys a Porsche. . . to increase the chances?

More useless information: Horses can't throw up.

JAGIRL Jun 9th, 2006 01:19 PM

cmcfong
I actually tried the right foot and hand thing :">
And what do you know... I couldn't do it!

FainaAgain Jun 9th, 2006 01:29 PM

After reading the FFR&R thread I want to try "fried pickles". Just don't know, do I fry fresh cucumbers or pickles out of a jar?

cmcfong Jun 9th, 2006 01:29 PM

Nora, give a horse one of those fried pickles and let's check your theory.

JAGIRL Jun 9th, 2006 01:32 PM

Faina,
Would you believe it...I had the same question after I read that post. How exactly do you fry a pickle?

Wait...wait!!! Nobody answer!! Let's save all the answers for next week's FRYday useful info post! :))

More useless info : killer whales never fully sleep. Half of their brain goes to sleep while the other half remains awake.

mikemo Jun 9th, 2006 01:34 PM

The '04 Porta Grand Reserve (Bio, Bio Valley, Chile) Pinot Noir may be the best bang for the buck in the Americas.
Think a CA Pisoni PN for $12.US.

kureiff Jun 9th, 2006 01:38 PM

A western big eared bats ear is half the length of its body.

You laugh about the fried pickles now, but wait until you've had one -- you'll want more! :)

FainaAgain Jun 9th, 2006 01:40 PM

I found it! I found it! Fried pickles recipe. Now I know the answer. But... to keep this thread useless I won't post it \:D/

PamT Jun 9th, 2006 02:03 PM

This is the best laugh I've had in a couple of months :-d
