Rant: A neighbor died this morning, he was only about 55 I think, probably a heart attack?

Rave: A beautiful day in San Francisco tomorrow.

Rave: It has been a bit warmer but nothing like the triple digit heat we had for two weeks so the weather has been such a pleasure.

Rant: The terrorist that make the world so stressful and ugly.

Rave: People that continue on with their lives and refuse to let the terroritst control how they live and travel.

Rant ~ The woman that whined and held up boarding because she couldn't take her Latte on board with her. Oh my lou, I really don't have the words, she was quite the embarrassment. EVERYONE waiting to board was just like... well you can imagine, no one could believe it.
If anyone saw the clip of the lady on CNN that whined about having to toss her $80 worth of make-up, think as bad as her, and then kick it up a few notches.

R5, a dear friend had a 3 legged (track injury required forequarter amputation) retired racing greyhound - amazing animal who gamely kept up with all his peers.
stw, SAT is fortunately self-limited and I have never seen a recurrence.
Rant: Second son divides his work time between Londonistan and Manhattanistan. He and DIL have to be in London most all of September.
Rant: Spam: I get about 10 a day which is way too many.
Rave: Neighbors' newly adopted street mutt had only change in diet related GI problems. Got "wormed" again for good measure. She looks anorexic, but eats like a piranha.
Rant: The tens of $M. of purse contents trashed at airports.
Rave: Kal. Do you write all this stuff yourself? PDF!
Rave: Spent last Sunday in Guanajuato: neat colonial city and great comida at Turco 7.

Rant: The selfish birthmother we've been matched with who hasn't contacted us or our adoption agency in 9 days!! Phone is disconnected too...and she's due on 8/25

Rant: I am pretty sure this adoption isn't going to happen--we think this girl changed her mind and doesn't have the guts to tell us but there's also a chance we've been scammed too (long story...)

Rave: We are resilient and somehow will survive this latest loss

I got the most bizzar email today. A friend who I have known since college emailed me and everyone on his email list that he is transgendered and questions if he has the correct cromasomes for a man and wants to be tested for it. I'm very confused. He has been married twice and has a daughter. None of this adds up. If in fact he is transgendered he will continue to be my friend. I'm just really confused.

Rant-Own a gift shop-why do all gift buyers insist on something ruby for 40th weddings teachers gifts must have apples and presents for nurses must say nurse. I know most folk are beyond this on the recieveing end.

Dearest OWJ, WHAT?? I just got back from SF and came on Fodor's..and read your post. No! This can't be dear one. I am speachless.

OWJ, I am so sorry for both of you. Prayers are being sent up. Hopefully, the birthmother is just stressed and hormonal and will follow through as promised. She could not find two more wonderful people to love and nurture a baby. I hope you feel the hugs and love coming your way from all your Fodors friends.
