DebitNM Aug 6th, 2013 08:32 AM

Thanks sue. Only Tristan is on the list. I am set for SNOB, FIG and McCrady's!

DebitNM Aug 6th, 2013 08:47 AM

Tristan and Magnolias on list now too!

Crypress?
Macintosh?

Oh, now I see "HIGH" Cotton, guess I missed the HIGH part of the name.

suewoo Aug 6th, 2013 01:46 PM

Is FIG on there? They don't usually participate, but go anyway. Get the pate if you like that sort of thing. Buttah.

I like the Tosh better than Cypress. I am JEALOUS. I love RW. I want to hear about evry detail! When is your trip?

DebitNM Aug 6th, 2013 02:55 PM

FIG isn't on the list but am going anyway.

First full week in Sept. Will do TR!

suewoo Aug 6th, 2013 03:18 PM

You are going to have a great time. I wish I could be there to show you around!

I will also highly recommend Carter's Kitchen in Mt Pleasant. Robert Carter was the chef at Peninsula forever, and I haven't been there since he left. That coconut cake is his recipe. So if you feel like getting out of the HD, (which you probably won't lol) go there. And/ or Old Village Post House. OK, I am quitting now. It's making me homesick : D

DebitNM Aug 13th, 2013 07:30 PM

So -
McCrady's
Tristan
Magnolia
High Cotton
FIG
SNOB - for lunch
coconut cake at Carter's Kitchen or at Peninsula.

Thanks all!

We really enjoyed Poogan's Porch and II Cortile Del Re.

Excellent choices. Make sure you have reservations. sNOB will be busy at lunch, so go a little early.

The Maverick group (owns SNOB, High Cotton, OVPH) also has a nice cooking store close to SNOB. Get a copy of "Charleston Receipts" as a souvenir.

DebitNM Aug 14th, 2013 08:28 AM

I have reservations at all but SNOB. :-)

Sue's idea of the cookbook is super--there are two now. I LOVE the original, and may have a first running copy. "MY" scalloped oysters for holidays is from it--favorite of all that partake!!

suewoo Aug 15th, 2013 03:24 AM

DebitNM, sounds like you are ready! I know you'll hav a good time.

If you have any more room, I'd add

Basil Thai
Rue de Jean
Muse

All listed in the restaurant week groupings. In fact all of your selections are excellent.

Have fun in this amazing city.

I don't think Deb will mind me jumping in. I am not going RW. What do you think of Circa 1886 and Charleston Grill?

DebitNM Aug 22nd, 2013 03:02 PM

Jump on in!

Centralparkgirl Aug 22nd, 2013 03:17 PM

How long is your trip?
What did you choose for lunch?
How much weight will I gain?

DebitNM Aug 22nd, 2013 03:27 PM

Trip is 15 meals.
Lunch will be more spontaneous except for SNOB.
Don't ask....
