Well NY has high cases so not sure why you'd want to go there, even if vaccinated.
They aren't shutting down restaurants or anything but how long can they hold out if cases keep going up? Same is true of MI and a couple of other states. Restaurants are said to be busy so people aren't waiting to get vaccinated. |

I reasoned that of the major cities in the US, Chicago, NYC, DC, and Philly were probably my best chances. After I looked up the news in Chicago and NYC, I quit looking. I wasn’t all that serious about it, because the airplane was a major concern, but still, the numbers in the actual destinations don’t look good. I don’t think reopening is headed forward in a linear path... |

I live in NY and agree 100%. Please stay away, we don't want you.
I bet way more New Yorkers than you do want out of state visitors. |
Lol. A very close friend has been pestering me for weeks to come visit her in NYC. I do plan to go very soon. But just for the day. Our plan is to hit a museum and have a delicious lunch.

ETA: gruezi, you are always welcome. |
lol Laurie :)
Another thing, it don’t matter to us in NYS if you’ve had Covid, test positive for antigens or have been vaccinated...if you come from another country, we require you to quarantine - U.S. and non-U.S citizen alike. We don’t want no variants. Nothing personal. lol |

Exactly how? Why, they are simply asking each occupant of every vehicle to repeat, "I'm walkin' heah!" I'M WALKIN' HEAH!!"
I am done. The requirement. |
About the enforcement question: vermont relies heavily on education and voluntary compliance with the rules.
visitors who stay in lodgings must complete a compliance form but those visiting in private homes and Vermonters returning from out of state don't have a similAr form https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/re...establishments More detail about enforcement herehttps://vsp.vermont.gov/covid19/stayhome_enforcement#:~:text=Anyone%20traveling%20 to%20Vermont%20 |
Vicky ~~ GO to the dance convention. It means so much to you. This is a case of just do it (since you seem to feel comfortable about it all, other than the cost).
I am happy staying home for awhile. Since my fitness studio, outdoor classes, massage, hair, nails, dentist, grocery shopping, city park, are all back to normal. And it's spring in Seattle... beautiful! Many seem to be incorrectly interpreting the latest CDC announcement... it ain't a free for all yet! And it said nothing about international travel only domestic and remember some states have restrictions still in place (Hawaii for one). |
Yesterday, Hawaii's Gov. Ige said he wants to go ahead with allowing those who have been vaccinated to bypass the negative test and/or quarantine. BUT ... he does not know how long it will take to implement that change. He is also open to allowing the counties to require a 2nd negative test upon arrival -- with that test being paid for by the counties.
