I was born and raised in Northampton, Massachusetts. I've lived all around the U.S., and am now in Warren, MA. I would love to move back to Virginia someday though!

This thread has been gone for a while - I think I posted early but in checking I noticed that many - MANY - people had lived in many places. Not everyone says at what point in their lives they did the moving, but I'd be interested in knowing if moving frequently as a child results (as it did with me) in a need to be always on the lam or if anyone can get the bug and then move themselves around as adults. Just musing. And I just left Gainesville (the swamp) for sunny Jupiter (the town, the town, not the planet!) in Palm Beach County, Florida. Oh, it is so loverly. That makes about 20 places I've lived from San Diego to DC to Miami to Mississippi and back. Whew - are we all tired yet? Nah!

Well my dears I'm sure you all know that I've lived all my life in London, and am currently residing in Mayfair.

Wow this thread is long! I am an American, born in Troy, IL, a small town about 20 miles east of St. Louis, MO. I've lived in southern Illinois all my live, with the exception of Houston for about a year when I was 6. I now live in Glen Carbon, IL, about 8 miles from where I grew up. Very boring!

I can't believe I read the W-H-O-L-E thing! I was born in West Virginia, left there after college to teach in northern Virginia (D.C. area.) Then lived in L.A. area for many years and now am in Bend, Oregon. (But my heart is always on vacation somewhere in Europe.) My body only gets to go once a year.

I was born in aberdeen, Washington state USA and live there during the fall, winter and spring and in the summer I reside in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, UK

Born and live in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Born, reared and lived all my life in the Indianapolis, Indiana area except for 3 years in Chicago.

Through extended work engagements I've spent 5 years divided between smaller Illinois & Indiana cities: Peoria, Decatur, Evansville, South Bend but always made it home for the weekends. I also spent three months in Trois Rivière, Quebec.

For Shanna I guess staying in one place so long has given me the travel bug. I didn't live outside of Indiana for work or university (West Lafayette, IN) until I was almost 30.

In beautiful, rural Columbia County, New York, near the Berkshires in Massachusetts. This is the most wonderful time of year here - lush, air fresh, spirea blooming, and I feel so lucky to live here. Yet we're going to Europe in June for two weeks! Can't help it. It seems that people come and go on this board, so it would be great to hear from current posters where they live.
