i'm coming meg! i'll be there next month! i can't wait! the UK is one of the best countries in the world! so much to do, so much to see!!! hey "blame the airlines" person- buy a plane ticket- they just added on $10 to ALL plane tickets on ALL airlines for new security measures! so reward the airlines with your business- because they are doing all they can! and if you don't want to give the airlines your money- take a cruise ship to europe!

Our 9/11 departure to Europe didn't go as planned obviously. Despite the scare and airports being closed nationwide for a week, we left the following month. We greatly appreciated the sympathy shown by people when they found out we were American. A Parisian woman in Italy even invited us to her home. Only a British ex-pat innkeeper in Italy expressed strong anti-American sentiment. I hope not she isn't reflective of other Brits. Will travel to London and Dublin next month, with confidence in (American) airport security.

My husband and I are flying over in April. We hope to see a few flowers, lots of rain and spend lots of money.

Meg,<BR>Not all of us have stopped travelling! My husband and I spent 3 weeks in France just after 9/11 and we are busy planning our trip to England, Wales and Ireland for June of this year. You can't keep us away for too long!
