At this precise moment it is 3.40am and I'm having another of my 'wakeful' nights. Luckily it is sunday morning and I can catch up on my sleep later. At times like this it's great to go on Fodors as usually when I go on duting the day most posters in the USA are fast asleep in bed and I only get to read the posts the next morning. Tonight I feel as if I'm actually part of the conversation! Probably cant sleep as I'm excited about having only three weeks until we go away to the Canary Islands, oh the sun, the sparklin sea!
All this talk of food has given me the munchies and Ive been sitting here trying to resist the urge to raid the fridge! Must try to resist though as I've only got three weeks to get into 'sun bed shape'! Thats the only drawback to going on holiday in the middle of winter, all that pale wobbly flesh! Never mind if I keep up with the diet and exercise plan and invest in some fake tan all will not be lost.
By the way welcome back Scarlett,how was your trip? Well rested and rareing to go I hope.

It's 11:00pm and I just finished rearanging my "office" as I like to call it, although it is actually a spare bedroom that catches all my hobby, exercise,& computer junk.
I am looking forward to: Halloween and all the children.

Getting through Tuesday and finding out who will be our next President and hope all goes smoothly and fairly.

The New Year, because I will be leaving shortly after for England to visit my daughter that I havent seen in 9 months, and then us heading to Rome for a little vacation, just the 2 of us. I am so excited. I hate it when we can't be together for the Hollidays.

Oh boy!!! I never thought so many were going to respond to this thread. Well, it's Halloween night!!! and no kids have knocked our door yet, that's actually good because we are not prepared for them.

In any case, we did go salsa/merengue dancing yesterday here in Stamford, CT, and it was great, my wife and I have not gone dancing for a while, and we should do it more often as it's a stress reliever...ahahha.

Oh, someone mentioned in one of threads above that he/she is going to see a concert (A. Boccelli) on 11/12....WHERE? My wife and I would love to see him in concert, so any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Carlos, I live in Trumbull. Andrea Bocelli is performing at The Arena at Harbor Yard on Friday, 11/12 at 7:30 p.m.

The venue is "Tribute on Ice" featuring Brian Boitano and the world's top figure skaters. Brian will probaby skate to "Nessun Dorma." I've heard that Andrea will probably sing about six songs - not a lot, but better than nothing. Ticket prices: $95, $60 and $40.

This is a 15-20 minute car ride for you on I-95. I would call the ticket office tomorrow (203)345-2400. (Sarah Brightman is performing there before Andrea.)

I cannot wait to see him live in concert, since I am a huge fan.

I hear the Blue Angels training flights in downtown San Francisco. The real fun will be on weekend.

Doesn't that cause terrible traffic jams? I would think they'd want to practice somewhere less populous.

Counting the days until my next trip in March. Sitting in my office and looking at travel stuff.

At my friend's house in the Back Bay, drinking wine, eating the Persian food her grandmother made and talking about sketchy people that we deal with on a daily basis.
