m_kingdom2:OK, fine... than let's change it to 2000 great things to do in London and you won't be offended. I didn't think anyone else would mind... hadn't even considered you, it's been so long. Think you could just go with the intent, rather than following in that derogatory tone? I know you have a lot to contribute when you put your thoughts & heart to it. How 'bout trying this time?

My dear, just for you we'll overlook the numeric value attached to the great things.

For those who are older and like to be around older company, try Annabel's in Berkeley Sq. it's a bit passé now, but like The Ritz, goes back to the 70s when things were so different in London.

Katiebug, I hope you have a geat trip in may!

I just rediscovered the Tate Britain.I think it has improved very much!
When you take the tube to Pimlico and go to the Tate you will pass a pub called the "White Swan" (or maybe Black Swan, but it is called one or the other way) and even if it looks not very special you can get a very nice and moderate priced lunch meal, I liked the cashmirie chicken with rice, chutney and nan very much. The staff was very friendly and this is really a nice place to go.

What I also really liked was visiting the British Museum on fridays late opening evening. Some gallerys are closed, but to wander around the deserted grand court is a great experience. When I waited in the darkness for the bus after my visit, I got a very good impression like how this area of London was many years ago.

There is now a Docklands Museum-I haven`t been there but I think it could be interesting.

Sorry missed ioo great English Restraunts where we unlike other contries do nor use inferior meat and smother it in sauces to hide and disguise the quality.
