comeon, abc, you may be fat, but when you said you are fat, too, you nailed him again.

Yoiks is right on about all your comments.

What goes here, anyway? BeatChick knows abc? Is this an office party or something? Are a bunch of people going to come on here now and defend abc? Sounds like a bunch of regulars are here. I thought you all left because of mean comments?

And now you are making them.

Just look at abc's words, they speak for themselves.

anon Apr 30th, 2002 09:00 AM

You're right. Kavey is back.
deb Apr 30th, 2002 09:21 AM

When in June is this canonization of Padre Pio? Thanks!

back2topic Apr 30th, 2002 09:31 AM

..
I think the canonization is on June 16th? For more information on Padre Pio, check http://www.ewtn.com/padrepio/man/index.htm
People like abc are the reason so many of us left this forum. Every time I come back here, there is someone like abc making snotty remarks about people.

abc, what makes you so much better than other people that you feel you can categorize their remarks?

I bet you are one of the loudest complainers when someone takes a hit at you.

There must be something we can do to clean up this place. Maybe if we were all registered, abc would stop with this juvenile back-biting.

Mark Apr 30th, 2002 10:13 AM

I say go see the canonization! You probably will never get the chance again.

referee Apr 30th, 2002 10:14 AM

Just for the record, though I said what I said above, I don't agree with the self-described "regular," who, under the guise of righteousness, is just taking advantage of the situation to attack someone who posted in a moment of bad judgment. The so-called "regular" is the worst of the lot.

ChaiClubFan Apr 30th, 2002 10:39 AM

<<I felt that Rex would find it hilarious, too.>>

Oh sure, BeatChick. And will you find it hilarious too, if someone twists your name into FatChick? or SlutChick? or AssLick?

Unbelievable that people still claim that name-calling is cute or some kind of affectionate sign of chumminess.

The use of the name "referee" is likewise clearly a lame attempt at spin control.

<<someone who posted in a moment of bad judgment>>

indicates that "referee" is simply "abc" under a different name trying to play down the slur initially hurled.
You know -- any poster on this thread could be anybody -- welcome to the internet. This could also not be me, except that I know that I don't use an alias and I have learned to ignore these threads. What the lot of you HAVE done is spoiled a perfectly good and moderately entertaining cat fight among two board "personalities" -- whoever they may be ;)

BeatChick Apr 30th, 2002 11:12 AM

Okay, ChaiClubFan,

You obviously know who I am. I have a feeling I know who you are to.

SINCE you who I am then you know that I have been subjected to attacks on occasion myself. BUT, when they occur I roll with the punches and generally end up laughing at them myself.

So yes, if someone called me names like that (BTW - slutchick was a pretty good play on the name) then I'd probably laugh (I've been called worse and by people who know me better!). : )

I just want to see if I understand your interpretation of events correctly, SF

This is the initial cat fight, as you call it? Do I have that right?

........................

Auth or: John G ([email protected])
Date: 04/30/2002, 01:13 am
Message: Rex, you are an ass.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

.....................

Author : Rex ([email protected])
Date: 04/30/2002, 08:13 am
Message: Wow. BeatChick Apr 30th, 2002 11:19 AM

abc, referee and JohnG are definitely NOT the same person.

And me? I'm just a Kerouac fan and a friend of abc's!! : )

s.fowler Apr 30th, 2002 11:22 AM

MMMmmmm....... more -- not quite. You've put quite a lot of words into my "mouth".

I was simply referring to the people posting as Rex & John -- no one else -- as for who is whom -- I have no clue.

Just visiting Apr 30th, 2002 12:18 PM

I want to know, is John G fat or is Rex fat?

This is too funny!

Don't usually come here because there are so many people like abc. Looks like she got caught this time, though.

Sherlock Apr 30th, 2002 12:33 PM

Who is Abc?
Well, here's a clue: Abc said
"but i do retract the rex comment and apologise for it".

Couldn't be an American, because Americans spell it apologize.

I think the British spell it apologise.

where's fodor's police Apr 30th, 2002 12:37 PM

TO: Just visiting

Rex is full figured (I'm trying to be pc) and John G is gay. Okay? So what does either of those things have to do with the topic at hand? Not a darn thing. Poor Babs --- she innocently posts a legitimate travel question and her thread is hijacked with this puerile behavior.

anon Apr 30th, 2002 12:45 PM

Some of the regulars are British.

Kavey, for one.

Sheila and David West are, too. (But I can't imagine either one of them posting remarks like this).

yyy Apr 30th, 2002 01:00 PM

Tony's British

O Apr 30th, 2002 01:13 PM

could be a poster from Up North, too! Or Down Under? Or just an American who can't spell...

Does it really matter at this point? Everyone's been insulted, some have apologized, others haven't...Why can't we all just get along?!?

kate Apr 30th, 2002 01:31 PM

Wow, I cannot believe that such a boring title like Venice or Canonization in Rome could be so full of insults and scratching and biting!
I think the bell rang and all of you should get into your corners now.
Maybe this could be returned to the question asked?
Or are there a couple of hundred other people wanting to put their less valuable than 2 cents worth in here?
ANSWER TO THE QUESTION ASKED:
my choice would be to see the Canonization. How often do you get to see something like that? Catholic or not, the pomp and ceremony would be amazing.
