One suggestion for the problem of not being able to find your own posts a few days later. Use one unusual word in the post, and then search for that word. I understand that the search function doesn't search titles, so the catchy title won't help you later. (If I were to need this later, I could search for "catchy.")

I do not think so. I am 50 years old and i have been with Fodor`s since I was a teen ager. I first got the most valuable information from its book called "Europe Under 25" and have seen most of Europe with its invaluable and correct information. I was hich hiking, sleeping in youth hostels on a very limited bugget. I was in HIgh School then. Now years passed by and I have a family. Still I am a fallower of Fodors site. I have seen much of the world with the information I got from the www.fodors.com forum pages. These pages not only give information of what one may need for planning a trip yourself instead of buying a trip from a travel agent but also a freedom of travelling on your own according to your wish. A second facility is that I happened to have many e-mail pals from all over the world whom I am still in contact with exchanging very valuable experience and information of travelling as if we are club members. A third facility is that it makes a recall of the experiences that I have had years ago as a hippy,a young man and now as a man at an age of 50. A fourth facility is I like day dreaming about planning future trips to different places at different times with my wife.

Now I have children who follow the same tracks of Fodor`s paths with my old experiences when travelling to Europe. They get the up to date information by reading them. They think it is great.

And, by the way, if you think that this forum is driving you crasy, please use your mouse not to tick on it, just ignore it, but let this free facility continue in future, instead of discouraging those people as contributors who try to be useful to others.

Good work Fodor. I think we should have been reading letters here to applaud you. I do wish to see my grandchildren ,who are not even been born yet, use this LOUNGE when they plan their trips.

Once again, thank you www.fodors.com

Sahin Gunaydin

I would be very interested in getting alternatives to Fodors's. Any idea? Thank you.

Hey I love this forum! I'm going to a pot luck dinner tomorrow given by a fellow fodorite from Maryland who I met on this forum. This forum is a wonderful way to talk to people who have a common interest - travel.

My problem is that if I post a message in which I am expecting an answer, I can't find the answer without scrolling through hundreds of messages, or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I love this site. Although I have just discovered it in the last month. I was trying to plan a trip to Spain and logged on and everyone has been most helpful. I knew what hotels to book myself into what sites to avoid (day trip to Morroco for 1) and what not to miss. So whoever has any complaints I have an idea, find yourself another site and let those of us who think its great enjoy it!!!!

I love this site, and once in a while, not often, I run into problems, just very very slow. Nothing big. I just thinkit is such a great site that it gets very congested. So I come back later and it is fine. Thank you everyone for all your great help and FREE information. Hey we are all family here. I can't wait to start looking for information on my next trip to Hungary Austria, and maybe Poland too. I am 45 maybe too old to do it all at once!!
