colduphere - I'm here to apologize for infering you might be bullying Travlin Feet on the crazy thread about changing money. You were a victim of poor timing - didn't know about your and Travelin Feet's history. I had just lost patience with so much of the thread poking fun at TF and not answering any questions. But, Travelin Feet - I see you are none the worse for wear so mama bear will go back to her den now. Besides, you did deserve what you got from colduphere for that wife comment.

I'd apologize to you on that thread but - miracle of miracles - its actually back on topic again and it will hopefully die a peaceful death. I'd prefer to not infuse it with anymore life. Besides, I can tell you are a man and can take it, white shorts, purple fanny pack and all. As I said -clothes do not make the man, though you may have to cut your wife some slack if you occasionally see her looking admiringly at George Clooney. Her eyes will need a rest.

Hope the therapy works out! Meantime, I'll be here - ruler in hand....rap, rap, rap......

oh, and PLEASE accept my apology. THANK YOU!

Geez BittenBTTB - now I feel awful. No need to apologize. Just a little friendly banter. Good to have you around.

darn! now I have to go a searching for "that wife comment"

An apology on Fodor's?? In the LOUNGE???????
Is there a full moon or somethin'????

colduphere Mar 11th, 2012 04:47 PM

We're not in the Lounge. Apologies are against the rules there.

BittenByTheTBug Mar 11th, 2012 05:37 PM

matter of principle - I jumped to a conclusion and wronged you - I have to apologize. Now I can sleep tonight.

Good to know apologies are not allowed in the lounge - I'll stay away from there. My brothers tell me I'm not happy unless I feel guilty about something.

L Sky - Travelin Feets wife comment really was quite the composition - well worth looking for. Almost as wordy as one of my posts after I've had a glass of wine, but not quite. His is much wittier though....

being serious for a minute, parisiens this weekend [mid March] were still in dark winter garb, mostly black with hints of navy and black. lots of knee-high boots and winter scarves tied in some very chic ways.

Being British, I'd taken bright spring clothes and stuck out like the proverbial. did i care?

actually no.

I admit that many Parisians tend to look at the calendar when they dress rather than the weather report. I am in the minority, because I am happy to wear lighter clothes the moment it is possible, and I ditched my winter jacket two weeks ago already for my quite thin "inter-season" jacket although there were mornings when I sort of regretted it (but it is black, so nobody sneered at me).

These last few days have been surprisingly warm, and if it continues, people will shed their boots and scarves and black clothes quite fast.
