Eloise thank you so much. I think I will book with RomeShuttleLimo for the trip from the airport. I do not need a tour or a driver who speaks English.. I can manage the name of my hotel!

Good to know all the taxi information..I could not understand all of the references posted.. I ususally prefer to walk everyplace within the city, but perhaps might take a taxi after my pajata dinner in Testaccio, if it is freexzing cold outside!

Always took a community college adult language course before going to Germany, France, and Italy, but nothing helped my Spanish in Galecia.

Up here in the Poconos the gas prices go up .10 a gallon at noon each Friday, then back down on Monday morning after those damn New Yorkers go back home.

In Dutchess County, NY (about 90 miles from NYC), there is a diner that charges a dollar more for a breakfast on the weekend than they do during the week. This is ostensibly to soak the tourists from NYC.

We accidentally discovered this one weekend when my wife got the expensive menu and I got the cheap one.

I don't expect the NY Times to do an article about this, which apparently goes on all the time.

In my own business, I have an "attitude adjustment charge", which some people have called the "a$$hole tax." It's a great thing not to have to make a living. :)
