Hope you all have a great time..

MWM1 Feb 14th, 2005 06:09 PM

Jody - did you go to USC H.S ??

Grandmere1 Feb 14th, 2005 06:17 PM

I yi yi; I taught at USCHS many years ago!

MWM1 Feb 14th, 2005 06:18 PM

Grandmere - may I have been there when you were also?? What year(s) and course did you teach?

Grandmere1 Feb 14th, 2005 06:33 PM

Right out of college, 1962-1969-French and English.

This past summer the Class of 1964 invited the teachers to their class reunion; I was thrilled to be invited (and had a wonderful time) but incredulous that people I taught were in their late 50ies, not THAT much younger than those of us who taught them back then. Talk about self deception! :-)

MWM1 Feb 14th, 2005 06:41 PM

I have very fond memories of my french teachers from USC - one at Boyce Middle School, the other at the High School.

jody Feb 15th, 2005 01:15 AM

MWM1..no USCHS..went to Sacred Heart in Eas Sliberty ! Now how's that for a bit of Pittsburghese.

MWM1 Feb 15th, 2005 04:44 AM

jody Feb 15th, 2005 05:03 AM

That was me! Bet you'd like to cross my path today! I'm sitting here killing time waiting for the airport limo then I'm off to Paris!!!

MWM1 Feb 15th, 2005 05:22 AM

YOu lucky dog!! I was in Paris this same time last year. Stayed at Le Regent on the left bank. Have a wonderful, wonderful time!

grandmere Feb 16th, 2005 09:25 AM

MWM1, bet I know your hs French teacher; two began when I was there and retired w/in last few years. Both are excellent teachers and wonderful people.

Hey, Pgh-ers--how are we going to recognize each other on Sat.? Just kinda look around expectantly?

LarryJ Feb 16th, 2005 01:04 PM

Sher Feb 17th, 2005 05:18 AM

Well, Grandmere, I am rather short and plump with dark very curly hair.
If I can find my Fodor's pin, I will wear it, but it is kind of small.
I guess just look around expectantly.

Tomorrow Saturday 2/19/05 at 1:00 pm at Panera in the Robinson Towne Centre.

Road conditions should be good as weather forecast is 36 deg with just a few snow flurries. Hope there's a good turnout. Maybe get a good travel idea or two for a future trip.

I am of average height, darkish straightish hair (smooth bob), and I just can't call myself plump, even if others might. :-)
