I lived around the corner for years from a Starbucks back in DC and met with clients there ALL time time, so yeah, I've had my share of their burnt coffee. It's easy to burn a latte - first you burn the coffee and then you add stuff to it.

Paper cups ?
Beeek ... like beer in cans.

Now I understand !
Honest beer is drunk from the tap in a glass, honest coffee must be the same : drunk in a cup made of porcelaine (how do you say procelain ? Ceramic ?)

If Starbucks was to open cafés in Belgium or Germany and serve beer in paper cups... forget it.
Italians must feel the same.

It's the way they roast their beans, they are over-roasted resulting in a burnt taste no matter if you have a plain coffee or a latte. Some people like it, others don't.
