Hi hlocke1 thankyou very much for your trip report. A train from Rome to Salerno and ferry to positano sound great. Is it easy to get to Pompeii from there?

Vandy Nov 13th, 2005 01:33 AM

Hi Heather,
Great photos! Which camera did you use?
thanks,
Vandy

Hi Vandy --

Sorry for my overly slow reply! I took 2 cameras with me (one very portable, one not so much...): Canon Elph S500, Canon Rebel XT. =) Hope that helps!

TFL, Heather.

Ginder - Sorry for the slow reply. Not even sure you still need this info, but it would be easy to get to Pompeii from Positano. You basically bus or ferry to Naples and take the Circumvesuviana train from there. Good luck! - h.

Hee... you must be knottie/nestie... "DH"! Glad you brought this thread back up as we'll be going in April and your advice is helpful, thanks!

I also have found some great info in this trip report for our trip to Rome/Florence in Feb. (Just over five weeks now!)

I ordered the bag from Fossil just now. It looks like just what I've been looking for. Thanks!

Amazing report! Thank you for all the details and the helpful organization of it all. I will use much of this information in my own planning.

Hi, just wanted to comment on your great report, well layed out and very informative. I will be heading to Rome, Venice and Amalfi coast in June and I found your information to be very helpful, so thank you. Also wanted to comment on your beautiful photos, they are very nice. Your blog also looks excellent and very pro.... Are you a photoshop expert?

Alla Botto - Calle della Bissa - where abouts can I find this place? ... thanks

Hi Again hlocke1: Great to see the continued interest in your trip report. It's worthy for sure.
I actually just glanced over it again last night, saving the details for our trip in June. Forgive me if this was already addressed but I'm curious - for the Context Tours that you booked in Rome - how far in advance did you make the arrangements? Thanks again for the great input.

Topping for several current travelers...

And to answer an ancient question should anyone else be curious: Alla Botte - Calle della Bissa 5482, Rialto is located just behind Campo S. Bartolomeo in the Rialto/San Marco area. Otherwise, here is a link to a detailed description on slowtrav:
