Greetings, everyone. I work for a multinational company and travel quite a bit - I'm up to 76 at last count and have enjoyed everyone of them. Some have been for work and some I have been able to throw in some fun time - others have been for pleasure. It's all good. David

Not enough! Only 15 when I stop and count.
Canada (home - 9 Provinces and one Territory), US, Mexico, England, Wales, Scotland, France, Greece, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Australia. I worked on a couple of TV travel series and arranged shoots in lots more countries (Africa, Maldives, Japan, etc), so I feel like I've travelled more than I actually have! |
25, if we consider Andorra a country...
|
Hmmm, must have missed this thread before: anyway, here's my total:-
UK (resident) France Monaco Belgium The Netherlands Luxembourg Germany Norway Sweden Czech Republic Switzerland Austria Italy Spain Portugal The Vatican Turkey Russia Kazakhstan Israel Egypt Ethiopia Kenya Tanzania Malawi Mozambique Zimbabwe Zambia South Africa India Nepal Singapore Indonesia China (+ Hong Kong and Macao before the handover) Japan Australia USA Canada Mexico |
Damn - forgot Liechtenstein
|
i dont think kids remember much - wouldnt include what countries they have been to
|
Germany (East, West and combined, so does that count as 3?)
Poland France (both mainland and the French West Indies) Italy Spain Monaco Lichtenstein Netherlands Mexico Austria San Marino Vatican City Hong Kong (after it reverted to China, so I guess it counts as China) Macau (when it was a Portuguese territory, so Portugal?) Bahamas Great Britain (England as well as the overseas territories of Grand Cayman, Bermuda and the BVI, but I think it only counts as one country) Trinidad & Tobago (after it was independent) St Lucia (after it was independent) Jamaica US (including territories of Puerto Rico and USVI) |
I must say I am impressed with many of you!
|
I think I've added about a dozen to my '04 tally.
Australia Philippines Taiwan China (including Hong Kong and Tibet) South Korea (I'm told we left ICN on a layover as a child though I don't remember it, does that count? I have the passport stamp) Kenya Tanzania Seychelles South Africa Namibia France (including French Polynesia and Saint Martin) Netherlands (including Sint Maarten) Belgium Luxembourg Germany Austria Czech Republic Slovakia Hungary Switzerland Italy (including Vatican City) Monaco UK (including Bermuda and BVI) US (including Puerto Rico and USVI) Canada Mexico Belize Bahamas Jamaica St Lucia Ecuador Kiribati Hope to add Indonesia later this year and Madagascar next. |
I usually ignore threads like these . . . but like everyone else, it got me making a list . . .
Canada (Home) All 10 provinces multiple times US (Born) At least 38 states (most multiple times) & I lived in 2 as a kid Mexico (x2 by car) England (x2) Scotland Jamaica Panama (x2) Antigua Cuba (x2 including our driving trip) France (x6 or 7) Spain (x2) Italy (x2) I guess Sicily can’t be called a different country . . . China Hungary Austria Poland - our 'lunch in Warsaw' visit Guyana I will add to the list I am sure, but there are many countries that we don't want to go to - quite frankly - for numerous reasons but with safety & comfort being prime considerations. I don't need (or want) to see the whole world. Ian |
Since my last posting in June 08, I have added to my previous total of 111 these countries:
Mozambique, Lesotho, Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan,Qatar and Bahrain. Unfortunately could not get into Sri Lanka or Tibet due to political problems and it is not likely I will return to either. Total now is 121. Future plans include New Caledonia, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Phillipines and Brunei (God willing) |
Since my last post we are now at 44 , just returned this past monday from Egypt, Jordan and Isarel
