Goshes,

I need to plan more traveling.

We are going to visit family in Florida in Feb and 2 weeks motor trip through the Dordogne followed by a week in Paris in Sept.

Maybe I can take my wife to Watkinsville for a weekend.

We've been too busy to make plans but are thinking about a short trip to Paris in April - I've never been in April! I'll visit family and friends in Wisconsin and Michigan in July and we'll go to Italy, mostly Sicily, in Sept/Oct. Happy New Year and Happy Travels to all.

What fun! All those exotic places.

Copper Canyon in February and 15 days in Croatia in late May. Other than that, will just have to wait and see. Happy travels to all. Geri

I wish you all wonderful adventures in 2005. December 31, 2005 is my retirement date and last day of work EVER and I am promised to a son in Oregon and a son in Florida for a bit of time. If I have my way I will return to Italy because I fell in love with it.
Happy New Year All!

Everyone's plans sound great!

We'll spend 2 weeks in FL in April-May, visit friends in Ft. Meyers & spend a week in the Keys with them & a few days in SOBE too.

Sadly, I fear most of our trips this year will be back & forth to Home Depot, but our house will be looking great!

Hoping for a few trips across the river to NYC for some fun times as well!

Happy 2005! Trish

Jan: A weekend back in Brussels to shop the sales and get my hair cut(hooray!)
Feb/March: A week in Brussels, then 12 days in Vienna, then another week in Brussels (my husband's employer keeps a corporate apt. there we can use)
April: A week in Brussels, then Baden-Baden, then on the road to Appenzell, Switzerland (with a stopover in central Germany to see the relatives), then back in Brussels again for a week
June or September: A few nights in Angers, then driving across central France for a week of hiking and relaxing in Megeve, France, then heading back up to Brussels through Burgundy and Champagne.
November/December: a week in Chicago

2005 travel resolution: Go to London twice a week, one afternoon devoted to something cultural (museum, play, concert, etc.) another to just hanging about (shopping, lunching, poking around a neighborhood, whatever). That will give me dozens of afternoons in London, so I should know something about the place by next Christmas.

You're not going to believe this, but about 6 months ago I was looking into a trip to Thailand for January 2005. I later decided on Paris instead. If I had booked Thailand for January, I would be facing some tough decisions right now. Someone was looking out for me when I chose Paris. But I still plan to go to Thailand some day.

travelbunny Dec 28th, 2004 07:44 AM

..Thailand in February...and then who knows as I do travel on business and for family..(from June to now..Floridasx3,Mexico,Seattle, Vermont and Ct., Geneva, Osaka, Alaska, Iceland, Paris, Nimes, Senegal and U.K. with minor stops in between)..so hope that I get some business travel to eastern Europe and the Balkans as I would like to scout things out and plan a future vacation...so happy travels 2005 to all and more importantly a healthy and peaceful year.

mr_go Dec 28th, 2004 07:48 AM

Ms. Go, Allie Go and I will be visiting the Amalfi coast, Capri and Naples in June. We are all looking forward to it a great deal...especially the week-long stay in Positano.

Probably a few domestic trips as well, such as Bob the Nav's new digs (if it's ever built). And I just got back from Laguna Beach a couple of days ago.

Merry-merry and happy-happy to everyone!

marigross Dec 28th, 2004 07:56 AM

North of Spain for three weeks in May/June

nycjenny Dec 28th, 2004 08:01 AM

London in January. Washington DC in March or April. North Carolina to visit family sometime in the summer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another trip to Europe in the fall!

Wow, it is a big world out there, isn't it? All of our plans sound so exciting!

LoveItaly - thank you so much for your kind wishes. All the same to you and yours! From your post, I take it that you live in Cal. So do I! Are you in No. Cal. or So. Cal?

PV will be wonderful and relaxing. We are staying at a private villa, seemingly on top of the world. It has 5 bedrooms, pool, workout room, tennis court, views to die for, houskeeper, cook, houseman, bartender (who follows you from room to room!!) and 24 hour security (to keep the TROLLS out.) Best of all, it's FREE!!! (DH bartered legal work for accomodations!)

tropo - Congrats on your first grandchild! What a special time! Where on earth is Great Keppel Island? I've never heard of it. How exotic.

zee123 - mazel tov on your upcoming retirement. Hope you have many happy years of family and travel ahead!

tpatricco - maybe we'll meet at Home Depot! We can have lunch together at the hot dog cart!

BTilke - your travels always sound fun...and FREQUENT. Where do you call home?

travelbunny - how awful the recent devastation to the people in the area you will be travelling to. Are you still planning to go?

Thank you all for sharing and God bless.

Hopefully (crossing fingers) we can finally go on our much-delayed, much-postponed honeymoon. As of last October, we were married 3 years. We keep putting off our 2 weeks in London as expenses and emergencies occurred. However, this year is looking good.

We will also be going to Atlanta and Orlando for scifi conventions (I've got art to sell at each) and Glasgow as part of the honeymoon for the same (Worldcon in August).
