I'm really not that comfortable posting on extremely personal threads on Fodors, but since there seems to be some confusion about whether to post wishes that the dog will pull though or condolences for the loss, here's the thread on a dog forum where Mimi posted that her dog died. http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum....webtag=ab-dogs If you look in that forum you can probably find some of the history about how she took care of Misha for a long time when he had severe disabilities. We corresponded last night, so I know she's around and not yet in France, but just maybe not on Fodors yet.

CMT thanks for clarifying - I assumed Misha was poorly rather than deceased based on the first thread and couldn't find anything later in the thread that updated us on his condition, therefore I was confused as to whether I should be posting my condolences or sending vibes for his recovery/ painless passing.

Mimi, I really am so sorry for your loss.

Kavey: I was totally confused, too, and I usually feel funny about posting on these extremely personal threads on gigantic Fodors anyway. But I do read and occasionally post on the AboutCom Dog Park forum, so that's where I saw her very clear post letting people know that the little guy had died.

Thank you, cigale, for a nice thank you and I have now that amusing smile pop, thanks to you. What a find for me.

SO SORRY! I meant to write about the loss of your dog. We, who know you, realize what a hole is left. We lost our cat a few months ago. My husband cried like a baby.

No guy is a whimp who has feelings. Cherish him.
Cigale, stay healthy, give us a trip report.
I lost a pet turtle that we loved. I could not believe how some people thought it was not a loss.
Several here have pet rabbits that they adore and would feel sad if they died.
One poster has a snake? Maybe it's on another forum?

sphinx1 Aug 7th, 2005 07:02 PM

Coccinelle maybe you meant to switch back to your other name before making a comment to Coccinelle?

coccinelle Aug 7th, 2005 07:40 PM

No, sphinx, you who cowardly changed your name to attack me. I only added another post. We animal lovers have many pets.
You have only a sad time in your life to change this post into your own misery.

Deepest sympathies to you, cigalechanta.

The poem you generously shared says it all.
