Mimi--As someone who is trying desperately to save her kitty, I am deeply sorry.

Sometimes life just sucks! But it's all worth it b/c our pets give us soo soo much.

I also saw on the US forum today that Mimi lost Misha. My hearfelt sympathies go out to you and J. I know that Misha has been a huge part of your lives and I can imagine the pain you are going thru. Big hugs from me and DH.

My heart aches for you, Mimi. You will be in my thoughts.
Hugs.

Mimi, I'm sorry I'm late to wish Misha strength and hope he is not in pain. I have never had a pet dog or cat so I can't pretend to understand what you're going through but I do understand that the relationship is incredibly strong.

Best of luck to Misha and to you too.

Oh, I'm so very sorry. What a big chunk of our hearts our furry friends steal.

dsm22 Jul 31st, 2005 02:21 PM

Mimi, I am so sorry. Our dogs have always been our only children. Such loss one feels for these amazing creatures that travel beside us throughout our lives wanting nothing but to guard and protect and please us as our companions.

I walked out to our Bo, and our Blackjack today, and I talked to them a bit. When Bo died, I thought my husband was never going to get over it. When I came home, he had made a marker for him. It read, "BO, more than a dog, he was my buddy."

When Blackjack followed him some years later, we put him next to Bo. I came home the next day to find a new marker, "BO & BLACKJACK, gone from us, but together again."

How we miss our babies.

Sending you all our thoughts and prayers, D & K and our Kiaya, Blue, Bandit and Logan.

Oh Mimi,

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

We only got our first dog 3 years ago - for 20 years I thought I was a 'cat person', now I realise I'm an 'animal person'. Dogs become part of your life so very quickly.

Cigalechanta, I am sad for you and with you. My dogs mean the world to me, and they are both getting old. Their loss is a character-building experience I am not looking forward to.

God bless.

Cigalechanta,

Sorry to be late but more sorry to hear you lost your friend. Best thing to do is get another dog right away.

Oh Mimi, I'm so sorry. We miss them forever and while the pain softens, it never disappears. There is another creature out there that needs your love and care, and when the time is right, he or she will find you.

I am so sorry. You were the best caretaker and put him before anything else.

Mimi, My heart goes out to you. I've lost count of how many times we've been in the same situation. I wish you and your beautiful pet all the best.

Cigalechanta - I am so sorry to hear about Misha. You both were so lucky to have found one another and enrich each other's lives.

They say you can never fully understand another's pain if you haven't gone through it yourself. Sadly, I can say I understand yours as I have lost many pets over the years.

My calico cat,Susie is now 19 1/2 years old and showing the signs of her age and it won't be long before she goes over the rainbow bridge.

The very best to you.

... I can just imagine your sorrow..There are so many of us with you at this moment that hopefully it will ease the pain a bit.

It's difficult for me to even write this because when I think of your loss, it reminds me of our 3 wheaten terriers who we lost and who I miss so much.

I know you have lots of good memories and certainly you have lots of friends on this board..we're with you.

My prayers go out to you and your dog.
It's only been a few weeks since my Dalmation passed away. All we can do is love the heck out of them while they're here and bless them for the joy they gave us when they're gone.
As I type this my little monkey dog is "boo-woo-wooing", it must mean that she's offering her doggie blessings too.

Sorry for not visiting here more often. Someone emailed me about Misha's death.
I heard you are depressed. I know you were home a year taking care of him and you know that those of us on another forum care for you so please do not get yourself in a funk. Do you read these posts? Has anyone sent this thread to her?

I thought I read that Mimi was going to France so perhaps she is away. If so, I hope she has a peaceful, restful vacation.

lilminkey Aug 7th, 2005 03:27 AM

I hope the best for you, I lost my friend a few years ago, I feel so bad.We become so close to our friends I know I am sorry the tears are rolling down as I type. With time it helps.I believe some day our special little friends will be waiting for us on the other side. Bless you.
