OP, you are still set on Zurich? Very curious why, especially an extra whole day there and shortchanging Venice, and leaving out Florence. What is it you want to see or do in Zurich? Also, be prepared for sticker shock at the cost of things in Switzerland. |
Hello All, Just returned from my family trip to Europe. Everything worked out and went well as planned. Thank you so much for all your valuable suggestions and ideas. It really helped me to plan out things in advance and what to look for. we had a great time. Though the weather was hot, we managed and planned things around and enjoyed our trip. The days were clear and allowed was to stay on our plan. No cancellations or re-bookings. exactly followed my plan. the reading of the discussions here on Fodors helped me to plan well and what to expect at each of these places. I appreciate everyone's help here in Fodors. without your suggestions and help I could not have done this four country trip to Europe. If you need to know anything, please let me know. I am happy to share my experiences.

If you want to , you could start a new thread as a Trip Report (there is a special tag so it would show up as a Trip Report in the list of threads). You could be as detailed or as high level as you want but some of your experiences could be helpful to others on a first family trip to Europe. |
It would be really nice if you would do a trip report that gave some day by day details of what you saw, how long it took, how you traveled, etc. It would also be great to know where you ended up going and how long you stayed in each place. What did you like most and why? Any things you would leave out next time? |
