The medical illness is, of course, Munchausen syndrome. Another one is Munchausen by Proxy.

Clue: He (6) was a much feared figure.

1. The composer (9) died on the same date this person died.

2. The person's favorite musician was this woman (6). Give a link or a brief explanation regarding a fascinating story about the woman and the much feared person.

3. The photographer (4) took pictures of this much feared figure. There's/There was an exhibition of these photos at this museum (6) in this city (7 -- one version of the spelling).

Ok, it's only been half an hour, but maybe it's too hard. :-)

I'll give you a little hint. Supposedly on the death bed of this much feared person was a recording of a piece of music involving the woman -- I had more or less just mentioned the piece of music in a very recent clue (in passing).

But the story involving the two goes beyond this.

Yes. I saw the exhibition when I was passing through. Suppposedly the photography museum is there, but I couldn't find the permanent exhibtions (I wondered whether the space was cleared out for the Abbe photos).

This famous writer was arrested at a famous hotel (in city: 6) for an indecent "behavior", which he subsequently served for 2 years in prison. The room where he was arrested is now named after him.

Writer: 5,5 ("L" = 3rd letter of last name)

In case anyone is interested, the Oscar Wilde Room (room 118) at the Cadogan hotel goes for *only* £ 350 a night.

Is this a room or a real suite?

I was thinking that maybe next year, I'll truly splurge and stay in a nice hotel for a few days (read: one or two days :-) ). I've never done something like this. Maybe I'll take my mom. If I don't deserve it, she does. :-)
