7 weeks from today I'll depart for Rome! Can't wait, have paid all that must be paid, even started organizing packing. I know, I know, way too early, but I'm trying to be one of those light packers who doesn't lug every item of clothing I own.
Now if the dollar will just behave.... |
Next trip is to Switzerland and Bavaria. We leave on May 12 :)

I am estatic! Just booked Vueling from Seville for flight to Rome in early May 2009. We have a second home on Portugal's southern coast
where we have been going 2 or 3 times a year for 20 years. Seville just a short 2hr. drive, easy airport and good parking situation. Did Barcelona from Seville in the fall. Can't wait to be back in my favorite city which has been "calling" me with every Fodor's post about Rome that I read. Now dealing directly with favorite apartment owner for a fabulous apartment and saving $$. Mostly cannot wait to return to the restaurants La Tartaruga on Via Monte del Farina and Sora Margherita in the ghetto, eat gelato and wander this most amazing city. |
It's not Europe, but we leave tomorrow for Florida and the Daytona 500! YAY!
|
SCFoodie, I'm heading to FLA too! On the 29th, for a week at St Pete Beach. But then, on March 26, I'm off to Switzerland.
|
TYPO... that should read Feb 19th for St Pete Beach; March 26 to Switerland.
|
Leaving for London in just a bit over 24 hours... hooray!
|
I am leaving for Italy July 19th. We are staying for 5 weeks, 159 days to go! This will be my second trip to Italy. However this time will be different..I am returning with my Italian husband! I traveled to Italy in September of 2007. When I returned I met my soon to be husband in an Italian restaurant in my home town. Here's the good part..he is from the same home town that I spent a majority of my vacation in. I can't wait to return to Monte Di Procida, Italy. This was a small town I fell in love with. When I left I cried. I can't wait to return and spend time with my new family. Who says there is no such thing as fate...or maybe just a huge coincidence.

April 30 will find us on the way to Croatia!

I leave March 29 for Italy and Nice. Then I leave again on May 31 for Munich & wherever. No definite plans yet on this one.
|
18 days until Grace Bay, Turks & Caicos.
Can't wait to feel the sand between my toes and the sun on my face. After ll days there, we'll return and start planning for Las Vegas in July(yes, I know it's hot, but it's a business trip), and then Europe in Sept.(most likely,Paris again and one other destination). Travelling Fodorites love planning,& asking & answering questions. It adds months on to our trip, don't you think? |
Audreyh1, that is a great story! Have a wonderful time.
5 weeks and one day til I leave for Rome. Can't wait. Second time to Italy, first time to Rome, so really looking forward to it. I've already started organizing. I'm also starting to have those dreams that I can't find the plane, left my camera at home, forgot to pack, etc. That means the trip is getting close. |
89 days till Amsterdam (4 days), Then to France for 2 months, ending in Barcelona for 4 days. WooHoo!!!!
I can't wait. |
Twenty two months until we return to Venice. Hell, it seems like an eternity.
We'll stay in Venice for five or six weeks. |
