Just back from Paris a week ago and still catching up with all the forums! Count me in. September 16th in Portsmouth sounds fine to me! (I live in Nashua, NH.) Portsmouth is chock full of restaurants.

P. S. The New England Center has a fabulous Sunday brunch buffet. I'm not usually a fan of buffets, but it's a great place to spend hours and return for another course or dessert over time. They have a hotel as well. It's on the University of New Hampshire campus in Durham, NH. Website is www.newenglandcenter.com (although, I've been unable to access it for the past few minutes.)

Hi New Englanders-- you can help me! I am down to the wire deciding between a night and day in Portsmouth, NH or Portland, ME on an upcoming trip. I don't want to invade this thread (much!), but if you have an opinion and a free moment, would you comment on my question on the US board? It's called "Portsmouth NH or Portland ME-- Which is Your Favorite?" Thanks!! (Audrey, I know you already responded-- thanks)

Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME are both fabulous! You'll enjoy either one. Fabulous restaurants, interesting shopping, terrific live music venues. If you do go to Portland, be sure to take a drive at night around Baxter Boulevard!
