<b>But</b>, you <b>can</b> make <font color="#0000ff"><u>fake</u></font> links! (That's just blue text that's underlined, hehe...)

Gardyloo May 17th, 2003 09:41 AM

Wait, the URL worked! (Not the HTML codes, just the link. Let's try again but not with Fodors.

Clifton May 17th, 2003 02:07 PM

Well ok, it doesn't like <b>TOO</b> much html, but it'll take a <i>little</i> bit.

That's ok. Can't say I don't blame them for being careful.

eurotravler May 17th, 2003 03:08 PM

y Holding down my Alt key and typing 0128 then releasing the Alt key works for me.

cigalechanta May 17th, 2003 03:18 PM

Betsy May 17th, 2003 03:34 PM

LOL, CC: I don't think anyone has been able to do a heart yet! At least if it has been done, it hasn't shown up on my ancient browser (Netscape 4.79). Has anyone seen a heart?

Clifton May 17th, 2003 03:37 PM

Ooo, somthing else I'd never seen before. Check this out.

:)

Betsy May 17th, 2003 03:39 PM

Hey, Clifton knows how to make a HAPPY FACE! Check it out on this thread:

BozoTheClown May 17th, 2003 03:39 PM

Emoticons! Woo hoo! 8-)...

Anyway... I think I found something on the Euro stuff... Although, is &amp;euro; not working for people?

Clifton May 17th, 2003 03:39 PM

Betsy,

Yep, we're seeing hearts. Netscape 4.xx doesn't support a lot of the html tags that newer versions do. I keep an old version of Netscape around to test websites and it's not working on mine, but it shows in IE.

Betsy May 17th, 2003 03:41 PM

Looks like we were posting at the same time. I'm going to ask my office to update my browser ASAP! Thanks, Clifton. I'm just happy to have the &euro;! Still have to check out italics and bold, etc.

Clifton May 17th, 2003 03:42 PM

And I didn't know I knew how to make a happy face. I just typed a colon and a right paren (the usually happy face without a nose or a space). It popped up out of nowhere. Wonder what other faces there are?

:)
;)

:0)

They should write a little blurb on emoticons on the FAQ. Impatient, I am.
