not sure about the rate of the $ but is would be close to 4000 RMB. which I find normal for an apartment.

A correct hotel staets at 100 € per night no breakfast for 2. Can go up to no limit of course but you'll find very good ones for about 1000 Lei a night. Again for 2.

Also so don't forget most Airbnb have a charge for cleaning when leaving. Often at least 50£.

I don’t see any indication of the apartment costing $600+/night. If you look at the July calendar, the rates are $488 at the beginning of the month, but by the middle of the month, the daily rates are under $300. Of course,that doesn’t include the extra fees AirBnB adds in for cleaning and other things.

My concern for that particular apartment would be 1) only one review and 2) cancellation period of 48 hours, which is unusually short.

(I'm assuming we're talking about the listing posted above by Macross) The hosts have good reviews for other listings, not a lot but all good, enough as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, the listing that Macross recommended to the OP. But back to cancellation policies, I tend to book places that have 100% cancellation up until a period of time fairly close to the actual rental date. Everyone has their preferences, and I like that level of flexibility.

I also like a number of reviews for the specific place I’m thinking about renting, although it’s always good to know that the host is well regarded with other rental properties.

My point was that the 48 hour cancellation you mentioned was just part of the policy & for those unfamiliar with the variables of cancelling Airbnb bookings it makes sense to me to point out the whole policy, if any, not half. That's all.

Ahh, Canadian dollars! I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. It's a big chunk of money in any monetary unit!

On Air Bnb, click where it says to read all the description. At the end of the description it will list the registration number, if they have one.

When you do a search, put the number of people and bedrooms required in the filter. You can also set your upper price limit. Air conditioning is going to severely limit your choices as it is not very common in Paris.
