-37 in Fargo, How "Cold" Is It Where You Are
Yes, just saw on the US board that today it's -37 farenheit (without the wind chill factor) in Fargo, ND.
Does anyone want to complain about the cold now? |
Italian riviera:
+55 fareheit and sunny today. rain tomorrow. a bit cooler. |
Here in Ottawa it's only -23C, but the forecast for tomorrow is -31. Not nearly so cold as Fargo, but still a bit chilly.
|
80F in Melbourne, FL yesterday. Cold front went through today. Now its down to 65F...
|
Hi all,
Here in northern NJ it's about 15F and tomorrow (Fri.) it's supposed to be a high of 18F and a low of 2F. Complain, I probably will, but I'm glad we're not in Fargo right now! |
It's 37+ here in Perth, Australia and that's in Celsius! I'll swap you.
I can't even comprehend how cold -37 is. |
Here in So. California we were at 86 degrees, would like some cool weather.
|
Here in Northern California it was a sunny 68ºF today (and 33ºF this morning) - same forecast for all week . . . . .
|
Its 40+ in the south west of Australia - how wonderful some cool air would be!!
|
Minus 17 right now but is getting colder. They just cancelled schools tomorrow because it will be minus 25 degrees actual temperature. Damn!
|
!5 here in Boston and going to be below zero tomorrow.
|
It's not cold - I wish it was!! It's 40+ celcius in Sydney, Australia today and about 90% humidity, the heat hits you like a brick wall if you try to venture outdoors. I can hear some thunder starting to rumble around so in all likelihood a massive tropical storm will cool things down within the next hour or so. Thank goodness for air con!!
I put the washing out to dry this morning and brought it back in, completely dry 20 minutes later!! My hb resorted to propping golf umbrellas over our favourite plants to stop them from burning. Tomorrow is going to be 35C, then a few cooler days, then back to approx 38C for the rest of next week. I can't imagine how cold -37 could be though, you wouldn't be able to go outside?? |
All I caught on the news was
-5 windchill! Much colder in other states, though. |
It wouild be nice if all you Americans made a new year's resolution to convert all your temperatures into Celcius. America is the only country in the world where Fahrenheit is still used and it would make life a little easier for the rest of us. This is, after all, an international web site.

-10 in Chicagoland
Ive been keeping warm planning my winter getaway on some Hawaii threads here on Fodors |
It was -18F when I took out the trash & recycling this morning in the Fox Valley, about 40 miles west of Chicago.
But don't let that fool ya...it felt a lot colder than that with the north wind whipping over the 11 inches of accumulated snow. |
Yes, I still want to complain as we are pretty much always colder than anyone else on Fodors! -42 right now - same usual thing.
(And I am another advocate on converting from F to C!) We have had so many days of -37 that I am sick of thinking about it and talking about it. :( |
51F here in west central Florida. Things should warm up over the weekend into the 65F range -- perfect winter weather for THIS Floridian!
Warm thoughts going out to all the folks in the "deep freeze". |
-35 celcius this morning in the Ottawa Valley. Thankfully, there's no wind today. |
-13F right now in Somers, WI with a -30 windchill. Both kids off of school today and probably tomorrow too.
