My company is sending 10 couples in Jan/Feb on a trip...need to satisfy everyone's needs...great uncrowded ocean beach, super golf, 5 star dining. All travelling together. <BR>Which Hyatt in Puerto Rico would be the better choice for us? many thanks!
We like Cerromar better. As the second poster stated it is bigger and in my opinion more lush and upscale. More activities and the rooms are more upscale as well. I have been there a few times and my brother goes almost every month for business and always stays at the Cerromar.
All of Dorado recently renovated and we love it. Cerromar is more for families and is more crowded, I think the rooms at Dorado better as well as views (Oceanfront accommodations at Dorado are about 15 feet from beach and you can walk right out). Both are nice, Dorado is quieter - we love it as a couple but as a group you might not.
I much prefer Dorado. Cerromar is high rise with lots of activity (the river pool, etc.) ... and people ... kinda like any large chain hotel while Dorado is more laid back and peaceful, on the beach and offers a different atmosphere! Only you know what your group might want! You can use the tram to shuttle between the two properties. Be sure to make reservations for dinner at Su Casa on the Dorado property. You can also breakfast at the golf club house at Dorado which is a lovely alternative to the busier big buffet at the main dinig room.
