Can anyone direct me to a map of Vieques printable from the internet or where to purchase one on Vieques? We are leaving on Tues and would like to have a map in hand or as soon as possible once we arrive that will enable us to locate the beaches recommended for snorkeling. I have found maps on enchantedisle but they are not maps with streets etc but are just very general. Thanks!!
I printed out this map that has good info about snorkeling at different sights.

www.vieques-island.com also has a map you can print out.
I'll be interested to see if there are any others. We are leaving a week from Tuesday for a week on Vieques. Have a great trip!

Before the trip, I printed a map of the island and of the 2 towns from the following site. It made our naviating around the island much easier.

Here's a web site I found very helpful. It has info on all the beaches and directions:

Here are directions to Secret Beach or Pata Prieto Beach, my favorite beach on the island. Could not find it on an official web site. Someone posted them on another travel board:
-Take the main Camp Garcia road.
-Pass the turn for Garcia Beach and Playa Caracas (aka Red Beach).
-A mile or so after Playa Caracas, you'll see a sign that says "Pata Prieto Beach" with an arrow pointing right. There are 2 garbage cans (1 blue and 1 gray) underneath the sign. Make that right turn.
-You'll drive on some "lovely" potholes.
-You'll come to a fork with NO sign. The left fork is a dead end. The right fork takes you to the loveliest stretch of beach on the island.

this one is printable size: http://www.elenas-vieques.com/roadmap.html
google maps shows that there are way more roads, but you can only print small sections of the island on one page. if you know which beaches you're looking for maybe you can print the pages you need.
i'm betting you'll find a map at the airport or your rental agency.

Ahhh, Virginia, I'm afraid it's a standing joke on the island that the maps that come with rental cars have a big notice in the top corner: "NOT TO BE USED FOR NAVIGATIONAL PURPOSES." Puzzling, to be sure!
We've identified a number of the popular beaches on Vieques on our interactive travel map -- http://tinyurl.com/4lekn2
Using that map, you should be able to figure out driving directions to the beaches.
